I Am Not Many

Freelance content strategist @iAmnotMany builds and manages online communities, such as the vibrant @CapeTown Twitter community and mimiCommunities range with their various hashtags that bring citizens and visitors to a region together in social networks.  The association with WordCamp Cape Town aims to promote bloggers in Cape Town #capeblogPost, and support local business with affordable exposure to 68 000 followers #capelocalBiz. As an early-adopter of disruptive technologies, Dorette (using only her first name online) registered a first Twitter account in 2006 and experienced the platform’s growth intimately – as social media emerged into mainstream communication in the world.  Dorette’s  first love is business development and impact investment – specifically in the startup IT and educational industries and she works as social innovator across Africa. She excels in Twitter where she works closely with a few handpicked brands and their publicity teams – communication agencies, radio presenters, publishers or SMO professionals – to increase social media reach if it has value to followers. iAmnotMany is a play on words – I Am Many (via followers), but also NOT many (as freelancer): with a mission is simply to Create and Influence online Communities for Good with relevant, well-curated Content.
